Reggie Dabbs Biography
Reggie Dabbs was born on the 18th of July 1963 in Tennessee, US. Unlike most pastors who were born into Christian homes or raised by Christian parents, Reggie Dabbs was born to an unmarried teenager who thought about aborting him at some point. One can say, Reggie is quite lucky to be alive. His unmarried teenage mom at the time had no place to go and eventually ended up living in Louisiana in a chicken coop. It was not until she recalled a teacher from her former school who had told virtually all her students at the time to call her if they ever needed anything. The teacher’s name was Mrs. Dabbs and she handed her number to the students. Reggie’s mum called Mrs Dabbs amidst her plight.
Mrs. Dabbs came to the girl’s rescue and took her with herself to Tennessee, to the home where Mrs. Dabbs and her husband lived. Luckily at the time, all of Mr. and Mrs. Dabbs six children were all grown up. They housed Reggie’s mum and catered for her until Reggie was born. Reggie continued to stay with the Dabbs and they took him as their foster son until his fourth grade when the Dabbs officially adopted Reggie and gave him his name.
Reggie Dabbs Career and Ministry
Public speaking for Reggie only began after his graduation from college. In 1987, during a public speaking engagement, the host of the event asked Reggie if he would like to take his public speaking to a high school assembly and address the students. Asides general speaking engagement, Reggie especially focuses on speaking in schools to students about life choices and the importance of making the right decisions when faced with challenges.
Reggie’s career as a saxophonist can be traced back to his sixth grade when he began playing the instrument. At the time however, he had no love whatsoever for the instrument. Following the insistence of Reggie’s parents he had no choice but to continue to learn and play the saxophone. His indifference and dislike for the saxophone was replaced with pure love for it in Reggie’s freshman year in college. Now, Reggie is an expert saxophonist.

Reggie Dabbs is married to Michele Dabbs. The two have been married for over 30 years now. The couple live together in Cedar Hill, TX. Reggie and Michele’s marital union has been blessed with a wonderful son called Dominic. Dominic resides in Tulsa.
