The famous Nigerian pastor, author, relationship coach and counselor, Kingsley Okonkwo popularly known as Pastor K was born on the 29th of January 1976 in Lagos state. He however hails from the Eastern part of Nigeria, Imo state precisely and is Igbo by tribe. Pastor K was born to Rowland Okonkwo and Rosannah Okonkwo who are royalties of Obowo Kingdom in Imo state.

Both his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and his SSCE in Lagos state where he grew up. He earned himself a doctorate degree from Myles Leadership University in India in 2022.

Pastor Mildred Kingsley-Okonkwo is the wife of Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo. She is a co-pastor at David Christian Centre (DCC). The two got married in the year 2005 on the 3rd of September and have stayed married since then. His wife was at an early age of 16 diagnosed with Poly Cyst Ovary Syndrome and when Kingsley proposed to her she told him that she might be unable to bear children for him. This however did not deter pastor K, his response to her at the time was simple. He told her that he was not marrying her for the sake of having children, he was marrying her because he loved her and that she would bear his children. The early years of their marriage was difficult especially for Mildred as she could not conceive.
Fast forward to today the couples’ marriage has been blessed with three beautiful children. One of which was adopted.
PASTOR KINGSLEY OKONKWO MINISTRY
Kingsley founded David Christian Centre (DCC) where he works as the lead pastor in Lagos State. It started off as a youth fellowship in September 1966 and has since then grown into what it is now. The ministry has a deep commitment to making its members victorious through scriptural trainings. Fatgbems bus stop, Mile 2 Lagos State and Elegushi beach road, 3rd Roundabout, Lagos State are both locations of the ministry where members can go to worship.
Pastor K’s ministry has a large focus on relationship and marriage. Every month, Pastor Kingsley holds a relationship seminar that is displayed across various television stations. The seminar is titled, ‘Love, Dating and Marriage’ (LDM) and it focuses on building marriages on scriptural foundations. LDM was founded in 1999 as Love, Dating and Sex until after his marriage in 2005. It was also in the year 1999 that Pastor K founded “Heart and Mind Consulting’ to help people build healthy relationships.
