American producer, gospel singer and Pastor, Joel Wesley Morgan better known as pastor Wess Morgan was born on the 5th of September 1973 in Moss Point Mississippi. He was born to his father Joseph Morgan and mother Yolanda Morgan who were both pastors. Wess was raised together with his older brother and younger sister in Nashville Tennessee.

Pastor Wess Childhood was characterized by travels and gospel singing with his family. He however fell into a difficult cycle of drug abuse and alcohol ingestion at only 10 years of age. This habit brought him several detentions in juvenile detention centers, jail sentences and secured him positions in recovery centers through out his teenage years and 20’s. Thankfully, he was able to break out of the cycle overtime.

Wess had been both high and drunk when he got involved in a serious car crash that resulted in some major injuries to his friends. He was jailed for this and was to be charged when he spoke to God and God answered him. That very moment was when Wess Morgan turned a new leaf, putting behind him completely his addiction and vices.

He currently serves as an associate pastor at “Celebrations Of Life Church (COLC)” Nashville, Tennessee where his father Joseph Morgan is the bishop and his mother Yolanda Morgan is a pastor.

The famous pastor and gospel singer kick started his music career in 2006, when he released “Look At Me Now” which was produced by Oak Tree Records. This solo project was a testimony of the change in his life and his journey to recovery.

In 2010, the singer released his second album “Under An Open Heaven” Volume 1 where he collaborated with his family, ministry and friends.
I Choose to Worship”, one of the tracks from the album did amazing well and secured Bowtie World Music a spot on Billboard’s 2011 Top 10 record label list.
The same track won the BMI Gospel song of the year and also received nominations for both the Stellar and Dove Award. The volume 2 of “Under An Open Heaven” was released in 2012.

“Livin” was released in 2014. It features breathtaking singles including “Cry” which is being streamed all over the world.

Wess Morgan is the founder of “Bowtie World Music” a known music and film production company.
Following his own childhood experiences on drug and alcohol abuse and all the negative impact it had on his life, Pastor Wess was propelled to establish the “Repre Foundation” a nonprofit organization that aims to save people who took the wrong path like he did in the past and prevent others from falling into the same pattern. The organization major focus is on alcohol and drug prevention and also recovery of addicts and alcoholics.
